The countdown is on to WPT Vienna, presented by Party Poker, with shuffle up and deal being called by the WPT’s Executive Tour Director Matt Savage for Day 1A of the Main Event at the famous city’s fabulous Montesino this Friday at 1pm (CET). The televised €3,200+ €300 Main Event will run from 25th – 29th March 2011, with two day ones, with a televised €9,700 + €300 High Rollers running 28th – 30th March 2011. The WPT team of Mike Sexton, Jesse May and Kara Scott will be overseeing the action. WPT Vienna, presented by PartyPoker.com, is a brand new stop on the World Poker Tour. The side event and satellite action starts at 5pm on Wednesday 23rd March. Amongst those scheduled to take to the felt for the Main Event include Sam Trickett, Tobias Reinkemeier, Michael Keiner, Tony G, Dragan Galic, Bodo Sbrzesny, Leo Margets, James Bord, Toby Lewis, Max Pescatori, Marvin Rettenmaier, Roberto Romanello, Bruno Fitoussi, Guillaume Darcourt, John Eames, Johannes Strassmann, Dave ‘The Devilfish’ Ulliott and many more. The field will feature a large group of online qualifiers. The €2,500 + €220 Main Event at WPT Bratislava, presented by PartyPoker.com, takes place at the Golden Vegas Casino in Slovakia from March 30th – April 3rd. As the tournaments are back-to-back, the organizers of the WPT Bratislava are putting on a coach shuttle from the WPT Vienna. Bratislava is around 45 minutes from Vienna.
