The first weekend in November ushered in the holiday season and a look toward the end of 2011. But female poker players around the world saw November 6 as another Sunday and another chance to compete in the weekly $55 Women's Sunday on PokerStars.

Since the guarantee for the Women's Sunday was raised to $10,000 only a few weeks ago, player registration has been on an incline, pushing the actual prize pools even higher. This week was no different, as hundreds of women took to the tables for women-only poker.

The final numbers this week were:

Total players: 240
Prize pool: $12,000.00
Paid finishers: 36

Of the field that boasted of some of the best female players in poker, there were three wearing the PokerStars logo next to their names as members of Team PokerStars Pro. Celina Lin was the first to exit, though, giving her opponent the $50 bounty as she exited in 146th place. Spain's Ana Marquez hit the virtual rail soon after in 131st place, and the UK's Liv Boeree was the last of them in competition until she departed in 111th place.

Three $50 bounties were dispersed, but all of the remaining players were eyeing the money bubble that would allow the top 36 to be paid. And a bit into the third hour of play, the bubble burst due to the unfortunate elimination of Phantomes124 in 37th place. Luzzzy of Germany, two-time Women's Sunday champion, was the first to cash today for $90 in 36th place, and play moved forward.
