The popular Big Slick Poker Camp led by professional poker player and Duke University game theory scholar, Vanessa Rousso, will make its debut in Canada during the Women's Poker Classic at the Cascades Casino in Langley on February 19th.

The B.C. Women's Poker Classic, in its sixth year, has been a successful women's poker event in Canada. For the 6th year, this event will support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Over the previous five events, the Women's Poker Classic has raised over $100,000 in donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Vanessa Rousso, is one of the leading females in poker today with over 4 million in career earnings.  Vanessa will be highlighting specific poker strategies and techniques based on teh concept of game theory that she uses herself.  Last year at the PokerStars Carriben Adventure, Vanessa made a testiment to her own instruction by taking down the ladies event which was held the day of her Big Slick Boot Camp.

Blinds: 30 minute levels

ALL EVENTS:

-Lunch and/or Dinner will be supplied by Cascades Casino for all participants
-Prize payouts for the top 10% of the tournament field
-Check-in and tournament registration will begin at 08:00 and end at 11:00 on the day of each event, anyone not checked in by this time will sacrifice their seat in tournament and will need to join the wait list in order to play unless paid in full, for those paid in full they will be blinded out until they arrive or have no chips
-In case there is a sold out event, a wait list will be started for that particular event. If there are cancellations the waitlist will be used to fill the event until 6:00pm Wednesday February 16, 2011. On the day of the event if the event is still sold out a new wait list will start at 8:00am with sign-ups done in person. At 11:30 the wait list will be used to fill any vacant seats in the event, players must be present at this time to play in the tournament
-Satellite tournaments will be offered in the tournament area on Thursday and Friday event days. Satellites will be offered as tables become available and enough participants are registered
-Blind and payout structures will be posted on the Cascades website in January

-Must have proper government issued photo ID in order to check-in and play
-Various stands will be available from various sponsors
-A silent auction will also take place during the tournament weekend with items from various sponsors
