PokerStars and Full Tilt Will Use Domain Names to Return U.S. Player Funds
Wednesday, 20 April 2011 10:56

The U.S. Department of Justice says it will allow PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker to use their web sites to facilitate the withdrawal of U.S. players’ funds. The agreements made with PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker will allow the continued use of their domain names to facilitiate the return of U.S. player funds and to continue to offer services to non U.S. players.  Both poker sites have agreed not to allow real money poker games for U.S. players and to allow for independent monitoring of their compliance.

Eleven people, including the founders of PokerStars, Full Tilt and Absolute Poker, were charged Friday with bank fraud, money laundering and online gambling. The U.S. Department of Justice is seeking at least $3 billion in civil money-laundering penalties and forfeiture.
