The Main Event begins Tuesday, Aug. 10, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN with the second largest field in poker history, 7,319 players, all seeking the world championship. Lon McEachern and Norman Chad co-host the 2010 World Series of Poker. No one is safe, not even the best pros in the world. Three-time WSOP bracelet winner Mike "The Mouth" Matusow takes center stage on opening day and brings plenty of entertainment and intensity. "The Mouth" has made some of the most memorable deep runs in the modern era of the Main Event, and this year he's as hungry as ever to get another shot at the title. But he’ll have to contend with a monstrous field that features some of the biggest names in the game, including 2003 champion Chris Moneymaker, 2004 titlist Greg Raymer and 2010 Poker Players Championship winner Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi. Others in action on opening night include WSOP Europe winner Annette Obrestad, former Main Event champion Dan Harrington and 2008 Player of the Year Erick Lindgren. Norman Chad and Lon McEachern call all the action. Doug White, Senior Director of Programming and Acquisitions and Jamie Horowitz, Coordinating Producer are the executives in charge for poker coverage on ESPN. Below is this year’s telecast schedule on ESPN.
